It was named for the Neosho River. It is a tributary of the Arkansas River in eastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma in the United States.

Neosho County Criminal Record

Neosho County records their criminal activity in the form of criminal records. These records cover murders, rapes, burglaries, arson, motor vehicle theft, assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature. In Neosho County and the entire state of Kansas, the authorities must keep an up-to-date register listing each and every sex offender in the area. These include any offender living, working, incarcerated, or attending school within the jurisdiction of Neosho County. All Neosho County residents can access this list.

Every individual in Neosho County can search for nearby sex offenders. Users can search using a zip code and a radius. There is also an option to search for individual offenders by name. These searches do not exclude any incarcerated or non-compliant offenders.

Neosho County Public Records

Vital records are kept on each resident of both Kansas State and Neosho County. Some vital records are collected and sent to the state government by Neosho County. These vital records can range from birth and death certificates to marriage licenses and divorce documents.

Neosho County records do come at a cost, sadly. Birth record first copies will set a person back $15 in Neosho County. Death record first copies in Neosho County cost $15. In Neosho County, a person has to pay $15 for the first copy of their desired marriage record.

NOTE - There are several rules in Neosho County regarding obtaining records in-person. The office is open between 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. CST from Monday to Friday. Requesters must bring a photo ID with them too. Examples of an acceptable form of photo ID include a driver’s license or state ID. Public record requests in Neosho County must also be put into writing.
