It was formed in 1855.

It was named for Frank J. Marshall (the city is named after Marshall's own wife, Mary).

Marshall County records their criminal activity in the form of criminal records. These records cover murders, rapes, burglaries, arson, motor vehicle theft, assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature. The Court of Appeals on Kansas has the power to oversee any decision made by lower courts when an appeal is made. This includes the 105 superior and trial courts across the 105 counties in Kansas, such as Marshall County.

Marshall County Public Records

Vital records are kept on every single resident in Marshall County and across the state of Kansas. NOTE - If a requester wants to attain records in-person, they must adhere to several rules in Marshall County. The office is open between 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. CST from Monday to Friday. In order to be granted a copy of a record, a requester must also be able to show some form of photo identification. These can include driver's licenses, state IDs, and more. Public record requests in Marshall County must also be put into writing.
