It was formed in 1859.

The opening hours for the Osage County office are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. CST from Monday to Friday. In Osage County, a photo ID is needed to acquire records in-person. A driver's license or a state ID would be acceptable. Requesters must also put each public record request in writing in Osage County in order to be successful.
