Crime Statistics

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation publishes crime statistics for the state of Kansas. In 2019, there was a total number of 882 crimes reported in Finney County. This includes 151 violent crimes and 731 property crimes. Violent crimes include two murders, 27 rapes, 13 robberies, and 109 aggravated assaults. Property crimes include 104 burglaries, 554 larcenies, 69 motor vehicle thefts, and four cases of arson.

The 2019 figures, when compared with the numbers reported in 2015, show a significant decline in total crimes reported over five years. There were declines in robberies (-19%), aggravated assaults (-8%), burglaries (-25%), larcenies (-28%), and arsons (-50%). Rape and motor vehicle theft rates increased by 13% and 64% respectively. Crime statistics for murder remained the same.
