Stafford County is located in the state of Kansas. The county seat is currently St. John. Back in 2020, there were 4,072 people in Stafford County.
It was formed in 1879.
It was named in honor of Lewis Stafford, captain of Company E, First Kansas Infantry, who was killed at the Battle of Young's Point in Madison Parish, Louisiana, on June 7, 1863.

The Court of Appeals of Kansas has the power to oversee any decision made by lower courts when an appeal is made. These lower courts are made up of the 105 superior or trial courts found across the state's 105 counties, including Stafford County.

NOTE - Requesters must adhere to several rules in Stafford County if they wish to attain records in-person. Firstly, the Stafford County office is open between 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. CST from Monday to Friday. The requester in question must also be able to show a photo ID. Acceptable photo IDs include driver's licenses and state IDs. Each public record request must be put in writing to be successful.
